Shane is the Marketing and Recruitment Manager for UBC’s Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. He works to promote UBC’s more than 300 graduate programs to prospective students around the world. Shane has over 15 years’ experience working in the higher education sector for universities in Canada and the UK, in the areas of marketing, student recruitment and career development. In 2010 Shane received an MBA from Liverpool Hope University (UK). Originally from the UK Shane has made Vancouver his home for the last 10 years.
Sarah Park is an MSc student in Rehabilitation Sciences. Her research revolves around the use of technology for stroke recovery. Currently, she is writing her thesis on telerehabilitation for lower extremity recovery using videoconferencing. Outside of her MSc, she also works at Vancouver General Hospital doing some additional research for stroke and is also involved with the UBC Graduate Student Society. Prior to starting her MSc, Sarah received her BSc in Integrated Science and completed a whole plethora of activities ranging from undergraduate research in various labs, student clubs and organizations such as UBC REC, residence life, and a whole lot more. Apart from attempting to do some research on the side, she loves playing (virtual) boardgames, taking power naps, procrasti-vacuuming, and exploring the newest food places around town.
